About ME
LEXI NUDELMAN, LICSW
My style
I specialize in working with shame, people-pleasing, perfectionism & self-criticism behaviors. I also specialize in grief/bereavement, trauma recovery, burnout, & anxiety management.
My work with clients is highly relational, as I believe emotional safety & trust is the foundation for any growth or change to occur. Our process of learning new & unlearning old ways of thinking can take on many forms like laughing, grieving, celebrating, and reflecting. In my work with clients I like to find the balance of challenge and humor.
My BACKGROUND
I have extensive training in trauma recovery and mental health treatment. I am EMDR Certified & an EMDR Approved Consultant for other therapists to reach certification. I have training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). For relationship therapy, I have completed the Gottman Method Level 3 Practicum Training. Additionally, I am a Washington State Approved Supervisor.
I have been providing counseling services in an outpatient setting to adults & adolescents since 2016. Prior to providing outpatient therapy services, my expertise was primarily focused on crisis & bereavement at Dell Children’s Level 1 Trauma Center in Austin, TX. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Child & Family Studies from Baylor University & my Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.
On a personal note
I love what I do & when I’m not working I enjoy gardening, cooking, volleyball, & anything outdoors. If we are working together on tele-health, you will likely meet my dachshund, Doodle.
I have also served on the Board of Trustees for Seattle Eastside’s community mental health organization, Youth Eastside Services (YES) since 2022.
